We are always looking for judges to assist in judging area contests. Judges should be trained in the rules of judging a barbeque contest run under the rules of the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS). Training may be conducted at a KCBS Certified judging class, or at a class run by GOBS. KCBS conducts certified BBQ Judges Classes (CBJ) throughout the country. One or more classes are usually offered each year in Nebraska. See www.kcbs.us for more information.

GOBS also conducts periodic judge training classes in the Omaha area. The classes last 3-4 hours, and cover the current rules for judging chicken, pork ribs, pork and beef brisket. This page will list all upcoming judge training classes in the region, including cost and contact information. Check back soon for a list of 2008 classes.
